Adventurous Places In North INDIA!


Located in the serenity of Himachal Pradesh; Manali a hill station stands tall at an altitude of 2,050 meters. It is an eye catching destination for many tourists, as one can experience a 15 km stretch of rafting in the icy cold water. Skiing, trekking and hiking are other adventure sports that draw attention.

Para Gliding is organized at the Solang valley, which is 13 Km away from Manali. This is a hotspot for amateurs who love to take a birds-eye view of nature around them. Apart from this, there is camping for students, which is an enthralling experience amidst nature. Other activities include rock climbing, river crossing and mountaineering which are a perfect blend of adventure, tourism, learning and fun for tourists.





Rishikesh is one of the places where one’s quest to explore is satisfied because of the various activities present there.
Take a dive along the whirlpools in the Ganga Valley and enjoy the river side rafting camp on the banks of the places. Some of the famous river rafting and beach camps are Brahmpuri, Sivapuri, MarineDrive, ,Byasi, Kaudiyala, Kirti Nagar, Devprayag and Rudraprayag.

Kaunndilya is one of the finest places for white water rafting along with the roars of the water, misty clouds and carpeted hills and the songs of the birds.

Flying fox, You are harnessed to the wire and on release by gravity roll down the wire upto 7 mtrs above the river level and then going up. Finally returning & settling down at the lowest point. Accelerate upto speeds of 160 kmph. Feel the air gushing past. You are pulled back to the launch platform by a retrieval mechanism.

The next interesting activity is body surfing. Have you ever imagined that you can stay afloat in water like the marine creatures? Here you can experience being one. With the help of accessories like fins, hand paddles, hand guns, wave blades etc, you can take a lazy swim with the currents taking you further. Other interesting activities include Cliff Jumping and Kayaking activities.




Jim Corbett National Park:

One of most famous wildlife sanctuary, Jim Corbett is a treat for adventure lovers. Canopied with greenery, and the surroundings filled with animals, you can experience the true joy of nature. A trek across river Kosi, camping in the forest with the sunshine and breeze on your face and exploring the forests with your friends can be an exciting experience.

Jeep Safari is the most convenient mode of exploring the jungle. Tigers, Panthers, Sambhars and various other kinds of Deer species are found in the dense jungles. The numerous activities in the forests include River- Rafting, angling, Back Packing, Mountain Biking, Parasailing, Rock Climbing, Slithering and River Crossing.

The main attraction present is the thick jungle, which is the nature lovers reward for visiting the place. There is also a dam, temple and streams present.



Located in the Great Himalayan Rain Shadow, this place is snow capped around the year. The area is similar to the land of Tibet. There are steep edges that slope down the mountains. Ladakh and ZansKar Valleys are a paradise for adventure lovers with trekking tours, Jeep Safari tours, biking are the adventure sports.


Chail, Kufri, Fagu

If you love driving and feel adventure in it then these are must visit places for you.

Chail :  Renowned for the world’s highest cricket ground and a polo ground at a peak of 2,250 m above the sea level, the scenic beautiful village Chail near Shimla is a hiker’s paradise. Chail is at the peak just seems to be overlooking the valley of Sutlej. Away from the bustling city life, unexplored hilly terrains, lusting greeneries, Chail has a spectacular attraction to visitors. Once an astonishing summer capital of Bhupinder Singh, the Maharaja of Patiala, Chail has the best resort with peculiar distinction of built on three hillocks, Sadh Tiba, Pandhewa and Rajgarh hills. The place is surrounded by forests of pine and deodar.  Tourists visiting other centers such as Shimla, Kasauli and Kandaghat never miss this popular picnic spot. The grant opportunities for angling, nature walks, trekking and horse riding are available in Chail. There are several newly built resort type hotels for comfortable stay.

Fagu is a small place located around 23 kms from Shimla and 6 kms from Kufri, and is famous for its scenic views. It is a day excursion from Kufri and serves as a base camp for trekkers, campers and naturalists.

Just above Fagu there are a few temples dedicated to the local god – Banthia devta that tourists can visit. The intrinsic wooden carving on the walls of these temples depicts the great craftsmanship of the Himachali people.

Besides offering breath taking views of the mountains, tourists can also explore the forests and various fruit orchards. Tourists are recommended to enjoy a night view from Fagu to see a longitudinal array of lights on the Himalayas. These are actually the Theog-a human settlement that resides on the Himalayan slopes.
